A question with no answer

Worldly self is so strong. Images mind creates of others are strong . Concepts of our self(i am so and so.. etc) are strong also and very convenient for the ego.
Truth is that for transcend the ego one must know what this ego is.
Mind is wondering did i ever really know you my friend?
